Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of a Kind!!
If you are a Sarah Brightman fan like myself, words cannot describe this DVD. After seeing the Harem concert in person & planning to see it again in Atlanta in Novemeber, the DVD is certainly the next best thing to seeing the show live. If you don't know much about Sarah, this DVD will hook you like nothing else. There is truly no one like her in the entertainment field that I can think of. The variety of each song, the lighting, sound, numerous costume changes, fantastic dancers, & back-up vocals only enhance her beauty, remarkable voice & stage presence. If you are going to buy only one DVD this year, this is a must have. For all that is present on the 2-set DVD's you get much more than what you paid for. A great Christmas gift.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wow!!
Amazing DVD great Sound, love the concert it gave me a lot of good memories of the premiere concert in México City on January, this is really a gift thank you so so much Dear Sarah Brightman, this is a gift from heaven.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Visually Stunning Concert.
Who would have thought that with so many mainstream artists releasing DVDs these days that Sarah Brightman would give us one of the year's best, most fulfilling DVD concert releases? Although her "La Luna" concert release was very good, she outdoes herself here with a mammoth package that contains a nearly two hour concert plus a second disc packed with extras we've only seen with the likes of U2, it even outshines Shakira's latest DVD outing (and the two couldn't be more different since I don't recall Shakira opening with "good evening ladies gentlemen"). The occasion here is Brightman's "Harem World Tour," this particular stop is a sold-out show at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. In true Vegas fashion the show is a spectacular collage of music, sound, visuals and dancing. But Brightman isn't doing cabaret, this is a prime example of classical music in the 21st century. Along with musicians like Nigel Kennedy, Brightman more than anyone has pushed classical music to a crossover status where if you have a good ear you'll appreciate it, even if you're an Audioslave fan (which I am). The show itself plays like great theater, with Brightman sporting various costumes, some with a classic elegance and others with a futuristic vibe (check out the suit she dons for the opening number!). We get dancers in Middle Eastern garb dancing in delicious fervor while Brightman exercises her magnificent pipes. There are moments that will surely stay in the memory like the performance of "What A Wonderful World" which here is featured with a lush Eastern arrangement that would have been awesome in the album, here Brightman ascends in a large swing with an enormous flowing gown that also curiously looks similar to a section in Britney Spears' doomed Onyx Hotel tour (the difference being Brightman is actually singing music). The lighting has a cinematic edge and the entire concert feels more like spectacle than show, rushing along in feverish excess. A lot of the classic Brightman numbers are here like a "Phantom Of The Opera" suite with a rock feel and the immortal "Time To Say Goodbye." There are small details and large brushstrokes that makes this is probably Brightman's greatest tour achievement. The second disc in this set is a large collection of materials that give us a sense of what it's like to mount the show (we meet everyone from the sound engineer to the people who run Brightman's website). You can also view certain performances from various angles. And to top it off we still get an interview with the diva herself. "Live From Las Vegas" is a perfect record of Brightman's latest tour and after one viewing you will agree, it's going to take a lot to top this one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THIS CONCERT ROCKS!
Sarah is so awsome and this concert is amazing. Hew voice is beautiful and her production is huge and lavish. The best songs are "The Journey Home," "A Question of Honor," and "The War is Over." I do have to make the unfortunate note that the above reviewers are correct in that something is wrong with the video quality of the DVD. If you have a sharp eye for DVD quality you will notice a cloudy grainy picture other than when there is fog onstage or sarah is behind a scrim. The DVD is STILL A MUST for Sarah fans. Sound and presentation is excellent.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Production!
Just bought the DVD and returned home to watch it. Everything is simply amazing! The colors, lights, sound, costumes...it's all great. Even the editing department did great because there's no over-editing. The only thing edited is the wait between the songs & costume changes and the crowd applause has been shortened. So...almost the whole show's there in its entirety. There's lots of audience appreciation this time around, with lots of great audience shots as well!

The packaging is simple yet convenient. Everything's as it should be. For the booklet, there's no credits or anything...just enlarged, stunning photos from the show, held into the box with a little clamp on the middle spine of the case. Disc one is gold and Disc 2 is purple. Really pretty!

I appreciate having the concert on one DVD, then switching to the 2nd DVD for all the excellent goodies. They left NOTHING out of this production! If you want to get to know the dancers, band members, Frank Peterson and the Director...you've come to the right place with this DVD! I've learned even more about Sarah, just from watching David Mallet, listening to him speak of Sarah from 25 years ago.

Dics 2's Photogallery makes me wish I were part of the entourage! It's good to know that Sarah has a wonderful "production" family around her, and not to mention her adoring fans...it's all great. There's a really wonderful remix of a song (which I won't mention), during the photoshoot. You'll love it! I'll say it again...nothing was left out of this production. Sarah's DVDs just get better and better all the time!

Look for the special Harem quiz on Disc 2 with a chance to win a very special prize. ;-)

Watching the whole concert, it's no wonder Sarah performed to a sold out venue in Vegas! Everything was just right, and of course, we got to see Sarah strutting her stuff in all her glory. The only complaint i've got about the whole thing is the pixellation of the picture (during the entire show). I don't mind though because the closeup shots are remarkable and deadly good! Owning this DVD makes me happy because it was more than "worth the wait"!

All vocal aspects of the show are amazing. Sarah has outdone herself this time around! The classical/operatic numbers are amazing and actuallys stunned me! I'm liking certain songs much more now than before. "Nessun Dorma", "La Luna", "A question of honour" and "Time to say goodbye" rock! I'm looking forward to watching the whole thing over and over again, really soon! As glittery, entertaining and breathtaking the DVD & actual concert are, there's definitely a whole lot more work going into the production (which we weren't aware of). That's why I like watching the "behind the scenes" parts because we end up appreciating all the aspects of the production of something this big.

By far, the DVD outdoes the CD version! Whatever was missing on the CD, we've got quadruple the excitement just on Disc 1! Sarah and her crew are a blessing! I'm going to see Sarah on the 25th of October for a 2nd concert, and the anticipation is even worse after watching the show. I recommend this item to anyone as a gift for Christmas or anytime of the year. A great stocking stuffer!
