I ordered this pan mainly because of the price. I got a ceramic cooktop stove, and the bottoms of most of my pots have distorted bottoms. This pan fits on the burner perfectly, heats up nicely, and cooks wonderfully well. It's big enough for my family of 4 (sometimes 5 or 6, with guests). I had a bit of a problem with food sticking a little the first two times I used it (I don't know if you have to season or temper the pan first - I didn't read the information included!) but now it's just fine. It's my new favorite! I would highly recommend this purchase.

I bought this pan on the strength of other customer reviews, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I have used it almost every day since I've had it, to make many different kinds of dishes. I find that it cleans easily, despite some of the other reviews to the contrary, the handles stay remarkably cool, it is light enough to maneuver easily, yet feels very solid and heats evenly. It probably doesn't hold enough for a large family, but when cooking for just my boyfriend and me, or another one or two people (but forget the leftovers!), it's perfect. I will definitely buy more items in the Calphalon hard-anodized line.

I first purchased the 12 quart stock pot and have not had any problems from it. After purchasing this 12 inch everyday pan, I am surprised how useful it really is. From fried chicken to pasta to vegetable stews, everything has come out perfect. No sticking or burning and from stove-top to oven. The two handles don't get hot on the stovetop and makes it easier to move around. This pan is so useful I had to buy another one.
