Books : You Can Heal Your Life (Gift Edition)

Rating: - first time I've read a book by Ms. Hay
I personally started using some techniques and it's like a miracle, they sound simplistic but they work and they are a part of my every day attitude now.

Rating: - Why did I take so long to read this?
I have had this book for ages but never took the time to read it - I had the audio book on tape, loaned it to a friend several years ago who never gave it back, and decided to get the audio book on CD.

I loved listening to this while I worked. I learned how much alike her beliefs are to Caroline Myss, PhD who I love to listen to (seminars) and have read her books also (your history is your biology)..... but Louise puts the whole subject matter in more easily understandable language and offers easy to follow instructions on how to apply and integrate what she is teaching in to your everyday Life.

I love that Opra is into the Law of Attraction and has had many authors / lecturers on her show (Cheryl Richardson, Louise L. Hay, Esther and Jerry Hicks, etc. And in past episodes she had Caroline Myss on also), one episode featured the author of "The Secret" - Rhonda Byrne, and is now sponsoring the book & author in on-line classes concerning "A New Earth" - Eckhart Tolle. People are hungry for a more positive world and for all of us that positive world needs to start with each one of us - turning our own lives into what we really want - not letting us be ruled by what happens to us but changing our reality into something better and therefore changing what happens around us.....

Louise healed herself of cancer through what she practices and teaches - she had to learn to let go of her anger and hurt at a deeper level than what she had already processed...... proof that the process does work.

We all have emotional / physical pain - proof that we have not let go of whatever is eating away at us. But we can be healed..... and we can do it ourselves..... without Doctors, pills, and enormous amounts of money.

I recommend this audio CD to everyone - get this book/CD and change your life for the better --- even if you don't think your life is bad - this book can help you achieve the power & belief offered through the Law of Attraction to make your life even better. Mind over Matter.

Rating: - Wow, What a Surprise:)
I was given this book years ago, so I wasn't sure what I was looking at since it has a new cover. That said, I gave it away to someone else I thought needed it, (Pass it on), and later, I happened upon it again and bought it again:)

My version has the old cover though... Which looks some what like a rainbow and I perhaps wouldn't have recognized it if I had seen this cover...

However...

Louise is a life saver!!! I can't tell you how fortunate I was to recieve her book during the phase of life I was going through. Recently I had an article done on me by Lesley (Chase) Barton, the founder of the A United Journey For Humanity Project, someone that has also went through a similar situation such as Louise and she has the same kind of spirit!

Buy this book if you don't have it!!!!

I have the recent one I bought on my libary shelf of books I just "Keep" and I don't intend to be without a copy of it again. Next to my Kahlil Gibran, and Sun Tzu and "The Secret" and so on...


This is one of those books you actually want to have in your possession for a life time...

I'm horrified by some of the negative reviews I've read here.

This from one reviewer on the author speaking on AIDS:

"So, AIDS is not caused by a virus, but by low self esteem. If people will just think better about themselves, their AIDS will disappear.

No need to worry about condoms, or safe sex, or anything. Just maintain a positive attitude, and condoms aren't necessary.

Such a lie is nothing short of grotesque. No, really, it is murderous."

I don't remember getting that at all. I took it to mean that if people had better self esteem and thought better about themselves, they would use condoms and practice monogamy/ safe sex, minimizing chance of contracting HIV/AIDS.

I'm not sure how much I was reading into this book but I will pull it off the shelf in the coming days.

It's a two-way street.
Louise Hay's printed word is not the be-all/ end-all.

She offers suggestions.

It's up to us to think.
