Core 2 Duo 3.0, Vista 32bit, 4gb DDR2 ram, and this thing cooks. Stalker Clear sky at almost completely highest settings for everything and we are still getting above 30fps.. Crysis at almost completely full settings and we once again are above 30.. Great cost/performance ratio on this card.. Get it..

I expected to see somewhat of a significant improvement going from an 8800GT KO to a GTX 260. Saw it in stores yesterday (Tuesday) so I thought I would get it and try it out. I got the OC version from BFG since it was the only card I could find anywhere to buy. I dont think these go on sale officially until tomorrow.

Anyway, drove home and immediately ran 3DMark06 with the 8800GT once more. My rig is now a couple years old, so its not the latest and greatest. I'm running an E6600, stock settings, with 4gb of DDR2-800 memory, and an 8800GT. With this setup, my score was only 10055. After uninstalling the drivers and putting in the new GTX 260 and using the drivers from the website I ran 3DMark again. 10333. Wow. I gained almost 300 points.
