- Tender, Rich and Beautiful
A wonderful grouping of songs that touch both the heart and the soul. You can feel her love for the music in every note, without a doubt Hayley poured herself into this recording. Native to the USA I have no background in Japanese music, my choices are based purely on listening pleasure.
My favorite is #8 Tsubasa Wo Kudasai (To the Sun that Lights the Day)- This is a beautiful pop song and Hayley's voice soars with the words and music. This could be a #1 hit if released as a single. One can almost imagine a young swan praying for her wings as she watches her parents glide about the skies. Next is #9 Sotsugyou shashin - A really neat jazzy style reminisant of what you might hear in an upscale small club in the USA. SMOOTH and SWEET! - Hayley Sings Japanese Songs
First off I have to say, WOW! This is an excellent CD. I usually do not write reviews but Hayley's singing of these Japanese songs deserves much praise. Reviewers that have compared this to being as good as Pure were correct. While all of Hayley's albums are good, simply because she has such a beautiful voice, this one is amazing. Definitely worth the price to hear her sing these Japenese songs, even singing one in Japanese. It is too bad that this has not been released world wide. I would rank this up there as one of her best!

Everything this lovely young lady from New Zealand does is fantastic, and this CD is no exception. All the songs are very good, most are great. Her voice and performance, well they are perfect! The vast majority of the lyrics are English, this could easily have been released with an English title and song names; absolutely do not avoid this album because the word "Japanese" is in the title! I would say that, among her other CDs, the greatest resemblence would be to more upbeat songs on Treasure.

Hayley's productivity is astonishing. Only in her early 20's, she has five major studio albums (excluding compilations) as well as a live DVD. While each is a little different stylistically, all are equally appealing to me. I guess I share her taste! Her voice, always spectacular, ... Read More

HAYLEY sings JAPANESE SONGS, this is one of her best.I love this cd as much as PURE. Her voice is the best I have ever heard,in over fifty years of listening to all types of music.If you just like Hayley voice you will love this cd.

I listened to this CD for the first time today, and Wow! I knew I loved Hayley's voice, but was slightly hesitant on buying this CD because of the price, but it's so worth it! And I'm glad I got the more expensive verson with the extra track. The music on this CD is so soothing and uplifting at the same time. Hayley's voice has perfect pitch, her voice is absolute perfection. Hayley does it again! :-)
