- Beware, not as convenient as it seems
I've owned one of these No Crank units for many years, from when they used to be called Reel Smart. The feature they all have in common regardless of price is the water powered rewind system, which sounds clever at first, but what they DON'T tell you is that the water that does the cranking is simultaneously exhausted out the side of the unit through a short hose. And the unit is not particularly fast or strong, so if it takes, say, 60 seconds to fully rewind a hose you can expect to have a nice big MUD PUDDLE all around the reel. And, the water piston engine tends to wear out over time - mine did.

I would recommend a hand crank reel mounted rather high up on a wheeled hand cart, so you can wheel the whole thing to where you want and don't have to bend over and strain your back ... Read More

I purchased this today with high hopes. It will be returned to the store tomorrow. It's a piece of junk that basically "almost works" but you end up backing and forthing with the hose, trying to wind it up. It kinks the hose all the time and you just end up getting more and more frustrated with it.

I used this today for the first time. It's great. No leaks, easy to set up and use. I'm glad I spent the money for it. I had to add a hose clamp to the drain hose to keep it from popping off of the frame when I tried to rewind the hose. Problem solved.
