Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Trucking Movie
A good movie if you remember trying to work in the 70's. A lot of action from the "Blue Mule". I can remember when it first came out and still like it today.Kay Lenz was HOT!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - "White Line Fever" Still Holds Up Well
I first saw "White Line Fever" at the Drive-In during it's initial "B" theatrical release. I liked it then and I like it now...I viewed it again last night for the first time in over 20 years (having seen it on HBO and Cinemax several times in the mid-80's). Having lived near Tucson, AZ since 1990, I remembered it was filmed around here and wanted to see it again. Jan Michael Vincent and Key Lenz team up in this gritty story of a blackballed trucker fighting a corrupt system. All in all, it's a good movie, but I can't give it 5 stars simply because the ending is somewhat abrupt, and there is no apparent accountability for the two murders in the film. While I would love to see this out on a studio-released DVD, I would also say it could be redone just as well by the right director (not Tarentino!). ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of my favorite movies
The movie was great! It was the mid 70's and Tucson was the perfect setting for the movie. The action kept you on the edge of your seat, rooting, and cheering on the young couple. It's awesome to hear that the "Blue Mule" is still making runs. My favorite part of the movie was the few seconds my father was on screen. He was the truck salesman that sold Jan Michael Vincent the Blue Mule. The Big House sceen was filmed in a cemetary about 6-8 blocks away from where we live.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Cult 1975 trucker film with a youthful Jan Michael Vincent
Ever popular B-grade trucker movie starring square jawed Jan-Michael Vincent as a returned Vietnam veteran who comes home to Tuscon, Arizona to take over his fathers trucking business and marry his teenage sweetheart. However, the well meaning Carrol Jo Hummer (Vincent) soon finds to his dismay that wholesale corruption has permeated the trucking game, and he is forced to either haul illegal loads of cigarettes and slot machines, or he doesn't work at all.

Directed by Jonathon Kaplan ( who later directed many episodes of the hit medico TV series "ER" ), the movie ticks along at a brisk pace and for a modest production, it hits all the right notes. Waif like Kay Lenz is believable as Carrol Jo Hummer's equally strong headed wife, Jerri, and serial cowboy star Slim Pickens ( in obligatory ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - independant trucker -vs- large scale corp. trking company
very good movie depicting the hardships of an independant trucker
trying to support his family, pay his bills, ect... but is inadvertantly confronted by strongarm BIG business hardball players, who undercut the freight prices, brutally beat- mame- rape- wreck- run off the road- anything to put the little guy independant trucker out of business. The "Blue Mule" handle for Jan Micheal Vincent, ultimately, gets his revenge, at the Glass House, where the corporate Big wigs hang out. A must see movie if you are a trucker, or happen to know anyone who is...
